How It Happened

Following halftime, Pfeiffer kept the Monarchs from growing their lead before going on a 5-0 run, punctuated by a basket from Hairston, to trim its deficit to 47-44 with 11 seconds to go in the third. Methodist countered and stretched its lead to 49-44 heading into the fourth. Pfeiffer knocked down two three-pointers in the quarter to score six of its 15 total points.
