COLUMBUS, Ga. --The No. 18 Pfeiffer Falcons struggled on Friday morning in the opening game of the NFCA Leadoff Classic, falling to the Pacific Lutheran Lutes 14-2 despite the efforts of sophomore Emily Dickerson, who went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI.
Senior Kenzi Lyall (0-1) started in the circleand took the loss in the circle for Pfeiffer (2-1).
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons were trailing 7-0 in the fourth inning when they first put runs on the board. Pfeiffer plated two runs when Dickerson left the yard with freshman Anna Jordan aboard. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as Pacific Lutheran added seven runs to their tally on the way to a 14-2 final.

In game two, the No. 22 Redlands Bulldogs proved to be too much for No. 18 Pfeiffer, as the Falcons dropped a 4-2 decision on Friday afternoon.
Senior Emma Bullin (0-1) got the ball to start for Pfeiffer (2-2) and took the loss. Freshman Peyton Lane was a bright spot for the Falcons, coming out of the bullpen and throwing two shutout innings, allowing one hit.
In the batter's box, the Falcons were led by senior Emma Chopko, who went 2-for-3 on the day with two RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons were trailing 1-0 in the first inning when they first put runs on the board. Pfeiffer got an RBI single from Chopko, scoring Bullin from second base.
The Bulldogs then scored two runs to retake their advantage heading into the fifth inning, when the Falcons responded by getting back on the scoreboard themselves. Pfeiffer scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Chopko, which tightened the Bulldogs lead to 3-2. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as Redlands added one run to their tally on the way to a 4-2 final.
