Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Opens Season With 21-5 Home Win Over SCAD-Savannah
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb 7, 2025) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team opened the 2025 season with a 21-5 home win over SCAD-Savannah on an unusually warm February afternoon at Lefko-Mills Field

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tied at 2-2 midway through the first quarter, Pfeiffer had a seven-goal outburst to jump to a 9-2 lead and never looked back. SCAD-Savannah closed to 9-3, but Pfeiffer took an 11-3 lead into halftime and shut the Bees out in the third quarter while scoring eight goals to lead 19-3 at the end of the third. Each team scored twice in the fourth quarter to provide then 21-5 final.
Inside the Box Score
Ethan Miles led the way for the Falcons by scoring four goals while adding an assist, finishing with a team-best five points.
Sam Barbetti,
Zach Gignac and
Andrew Brown scored three times each while eight other Falcons scored one goal in the win.Â
Trent Orr also finished with four points, scoring once and adding three assists.
Elias Solano went an impressive 6-of-7 on faceoffs to lead the Falcons while Collin Finled and Gignac added five ground balls each.
Korbin Hamilton earned the win in goal for Pfeiffer, as he made five saves in over 55 minutes of play.
The 21 goals scored is the most in a season opener since Pfeiffer defeated Centenary (La.) 21-2 to start the 2021 season.
