ATLANTA, Ga. (March 7, 2025) --An explosive offensive output was not enough for Pfeiffer on Friday but the Falcons would not be able to hold the Emory Eagles at bay, falling 8-5 in game one of the Eagles Elite Invitational
Emma Bullin (4-2) got the ball to start for Pfeiffer (8-3) and took the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons were trailing 2-0 in the second inning when they first put runs on the board. Pfeiffer picked up three runs in the frame.
The Eagles failed to push any runs across before the Falcons offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Pfeiffer managed to push across two runs in the inning, which brought the Falcons lead to 5-2. The Falcons were unable to hold the lead, as Emory scored six times over the remaining four innings to grab the 8-5 win.

In game two, the Falcons took a 4-0 lead in the first inning and never surrendered the advantage on the way to a 6-4 win over the Saint John Fisher Cardinals.
Peyton. Lane (4-0) got the win for Pfeiffer (9-3). The right-hander went 6.1 innings, giving up four runs, all of them earned, on seven hits, allowing three walks and striking out three.
Offensively, the Falcons were paced by A. Broaddus, who went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI. E. Chopko furnished a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. K. Lyall also helped out for Pfeiffer, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons got on the board immediately, starting their scoring with one run in the top of the first inning. Pfeiffer's offense started clicking and put up four runs, including a one-run single off the bat of C. Cooper.
The Cardinals failed to push any runs across before the Falcons built on their lead in the seventh inning. Pfeiffer brought home a pair, with one run driven in by Broaddus' single, which brought the score to 6-0 in favor of the Falcons. Saint John Fisher put four runs on the scoreboard before the game was over, but Pfeiffer still held on for the 6-4 win. Emma Bullin earned the save for the Falcons, retiring the final two St. John Fisher batters.
