GAME 1 | Methodist 13, Pfeiffer 1
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --The Pfeiffer Falcons got three hits from Joe Javier in a 13-1 loss to the Methodist Monarchs in game one of a USA South doubleheader on Saturday.
Josh Little (2-3) got the ball to start for Pfeiffer (11-22, 7-10) and took the loss.
Javier's three-hit day led the Falcons offensively. Cooper Hyatt put together a standout day at the plate as well, going 1-for-1 with a home run and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 9-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the seventh inning. Carter JeanBaptist put Pfeiffer on the board with a one-out solo home run off A. Baur. The Falcons were unable to get any closer, as Methodist added four runs to their tally on the way to a 13-1 final.

GAME 2 | Methodist 12, Pfeiffer 2
In game two, Pfeiffer struggled dropping a 12-2 decision to Methodist despite the efforts of Hunter Huneycutt, who went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Ivan Delp (0-3) came out of the bullpen for Pfeiffer (11-23, 7-11) and took the loss. Trent Lowe was a bright spot for the Falcons, starting the ballgame and throwing two shutout innings, allowing no hits, with two walks and four strikeouts.
At the plate, the Falcons were paced by Huneycutt, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a walk and an RBI. Austin Wood compiled a standout performance at the dish as well, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Wilson Lohrer also contributed for Pfeiffer, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 2-0, the Falcons first put runs on the board in the fifth inning. Pfeiffer scored twice, with one run coming across on Huneycutt's single. Methodist then scored 10 times over the remaining four innings to break the tie and grab the 12-2 win.
