Superlatives
With the doubleheader sweep, Pfeiffer becomes just the third team to complete a perfect season in USA South play and the first to accomplish the feat since 1999.  Methodist ran the table during that season, finishing a perfect 10-0 in league play.  The only other time a team has returned a perfect season was in 1993, when Christopher Newport finished 8-0 in conference action.

Gracie Griffin set the program record for career doubles with 55, passing Vada Sherrill, who had 54 doubles during her standout career in The Village from 2016-2019.

Pfeiffer claimed the regular season crown for the fifth straight season, dating back to winning the USA South East Division Titles in 2021 and 2022.  Since the USA South realigned in 2023, Pfeiffer has won the regular season three times and the tournament crown twice.

Since 2021, Pfeiffer owns a 74-10 (.881) mark in USA South play.

Pfeiffer head coach Monte Sherrill extends his streak of a conference championship to 35 seasons.  Sherrill earned 26 straight conference regular season or tournament titles at the high school level while coaching at Central Cabarrus and Alexander Central.  Since tapped to head the Falcon program, Sherrill has guided the Falcons to nine consecutive titles which spans from Pfeiffer's Division II days in Conference Carolinas, through Pfeiffer's Division III transition period, and now as an NCAA Division III institution.

By virtue of their USA South regular season title, Pfeiffer has earned the right to host the USA South Tournament for the third straight season.

The top-seeded Falcons will take on the No. 8 seed William Peace Pacers on Thursday, May 1 at Jack Ingram Field.  Game times will be announced by the USA South in coordination with Pfeiffer University and the participating teams.
