Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Gets Hard-Fought 13-11 Home Win Over Methodist
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 9, 2025) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team got a win in a hard-fought USA South game over visiting Methodist at a chilly Lefko-Mills Field on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
With the score tied 7-7 at halftime, Pfeiffer scored two goals within the first three minutes of the third quarter and never trailed again.
With the Falcons leading 9-7, Methodist capitalized on a Pfeiffer penalty and scored on a man-up opportunity to close to 9-8.
The teams traded the next four goals, with Pfeiffer leading 11-10 after Methodist scored the first goal of the fourth quarter.
The Falcons then got their own man-up goal from
Andrew Brown followed by a
Mason Tardiff score to push the lead to 13-10 with 7:17 to play. Methodist would get the last goal of the game with 55 seconds remaining to provide the 13-11 final.
Inside the Box Score
The win, which is the 16th-straight in USA South play, pushes the Falcons to a perfect 5-0 record with three games to play.
Andrew Brown and
Khyler Johnson each tallied five points in the win, with Brown scoring three goals and providing a pair of assists. Johnson scored twice and had three helpers.
Zach Gignac,
Trent Orr and
Ethan Miles all scored two goals each in the win with
Nick Pestrichello and
Mason Tardiff adding a goal each.
Defensively, Jacobi Leonard forced two Monarch turnovers while faceoff specialist
Lee Caldwell was 14-of-20 on the night with a team-best six ground balls.
Falcon goalkeeper
Korbin Hamilton improved to 9-2 overall in net by making 11 saves in the win.
