Pfeiffer Hammers Southern Virginia in USA South Men's Lacrosse Semifinals
Misenheimer, N.C. (May 1, 2025) – The top-seeded Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team had no trouble with fourth-seeded Southern Virginia, winning 20-4 over the Knights in the semifinals of the USA South men's lacrosse tournament on a hot Lefko-Mills Field on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer dominated the first half, scoring six first quarter goals and adding eight more in the second quarter to take a dominant 14-0 lead into halftime.
SVU would score two goals to open the third quarter, but Pfeiffer would respond, netting the next three goals to take a 17-2 lead.
Following an SVU score at the 10:12 mark of the fourth quarter, the Falcons would add three more to lead 20-3. SVU would score the final goal of the game with 13 seconds left to provide the 20-4 final score.

Senior
Mason Tardiff and sophomore
Ethan Miles each had four goals against the Knights. Miles added three assists to finish with a team-best seven points. Tardiff added on assist to complete the game with five points.

Khyler Johnson each scored a pair of goals while four other Falcon players scored one each, respectively.
Defensively, Pfeiffer goalkeeper
Korbin Hamilton was stellar in net, as he made 15 saves on the afternoon.
As a team, the Falcons forced 28 SVU turnovers and took 16-of-27 faceoffs on the afternoon, with
Chase Henderson going 7-of-10 and
Elias Solano finishing 6-of-8 at the dot.
The win, marks the fifth straight over the Knights in the series and is the fourth straight win over SVU in Misenheimer.Â
Additionally, the win runs the Pfeiffer streak to 24 straight wins over USA South opponents.
Pfeiffer is a perfect 9-0 at home this season and has won their last 15 games at Lefko-Mills Field
