RALEIGH, N.C. (Jan. 6, 2026) — Pfeiffer University pulled away in the second half to defeat Meredith College 75-50 in USA South women's basketball action Tuesday night at Hermann Gym on the campus of WIlliam Peace University.

The Falcons (7-4, 5-1 USA South) used a balanced attack, with sophomore
Kendyll Moore leading the way with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Fellow sophomore
Ava Hairston added 17 points and six assists, while
Lettie Michael chipped in 11 points and nine rebounds.
Pfeiffer trailed 15-14 after the first quarter but outscored Meredith 19-8 in the second to take control. The Falcons shot 41 percent from the field and hit nine 3-pointers, while forcing 18 turnovers and scoring 21 points off them.
Meredith (2-9, 1-5) was paced by Molly Zuburg's 12 points and six assists. The Angels struggled from deep, making just 3 of 12 attempts, and were outrebounded 46-37.
Pfeiffer's bench contributed 28 points, and the Falcons dominated the paint with a 30-28 edge. They closed the game on a 24-point fourth quarter to seal the win.
Pfeiffer will step out of league play when they host Christopher Newport on Thursday, Jan. 8 in Merner Gym at 4:00 p.m.
