SWANNANOA, N.C. (Oct. 14, 2026)) — Pfeiffer controlled possession and generated the vast majority of scoring chances, but had to settle for a scoreless draw against Warren Wilson on Wednesday afternoon at Hank Steinbrecher Field.
The Falcons outshot the Owls 15-4 and held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks, yet could not break through against Warren Wilson goalkeeper Nassi Robinson, who recorded eight saves to preserve the 0-0 tie.
Pfeiffer (4-4-4) put consistent pressure on the home side throughout the match, placing nine shots on goal.
Quinn Branca led the attack with four shots, including two on target, while
Cassidy Lake added two shots on goal off the bench.
Khamani Spencer,
Corinne Browning,
Lily Bido,
Kenzie Stewart and
Kendall Fortson each tested the goalkeeper as the Falcons searched for the breakthrough.
The Falcons nearly struck in the opening half when shots by Lake, Browning and Fortson were turned aside. Branca continued the pressure after halftime with several dangerous chances, but Robinson came up with key saves in the 61st and 66th minutes to keep the match level.
Defensively, Pfeiffer was equally sharp. Goalkeeper
Jerusalen Gonzalez and the Falcon back line limited Warren Wilson to just one shot on goal. Gonzalez made her lone save in the 80th minute on a shot by Carolina Alcala-Ruiz to secure her shutout.
The draw extends another strong defensive performance for the Falcons, who allowed just four total shots while earning their fourth shutout result of the season.
Pfeiffer returns to action Saturday, Oct. 17 when they jump back into USA South play with a 2:00 p.m. road match at Salem College
