MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 24, 2026) — Pfeiffer celebrated Senior Day in commanding fashion on Saturday afternoon, scoring twice in the opening nine minutes and cruising to a 3-0 USA South men's soccer victory over visiting Mary Baldwin at Lefko-Mills Field.
The Falcons improved to 9-3-3 overall and 2-2-2 in conference play behind goals from the senior trio of
Jaiden Wright,
Alex Michael and
Josh Aguirre-Escobar. Pfeiffer controlled play throughout, outshooting Mary Baldwin 20-5 and holding a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.
Wright wasted little time giving the Falcons the lead, finding the back of the net just three minutes into the match off an assist from sophomore
Barrett Owens. The goal was Wright's third of the season and set the tone for Pfeiffer's dominant afternoon.
Less than six minutes later, Michael doubled the advantage. The defender scored his fifth goal of the season in the 9th minute on a feed from
Drew Garro, pushing the Falcons ahead 2-0 before Mary Baldwin could settle into the match.
Pfeiffer continued to create chances throughout the contest and nearly added another goal in the 54th minute when Michael earned a penalty kick. Mary Baldwin goalkeeper Zachary Caudill helped keep the visitors within striking distance, however, as the attempt was missed.
The Falcons eventually put the game away in the 77th minute when Aguirre-Escobar converted a penalty kick for his first goal of the season, extending the lead to 3-0.
Defensively, Pfeiffer was equally impressive. Junior goalkeeper
Seth Limbert recorded three saves and earned the shutout as the Falcons limited Mary Baldwin to just five shots and three shots on target.
Michael led Pfeiffer with five shots, including three on goal, while Wright added three shots and scored the eventual game-winner. Caudill finished with six saves for Mary Baldwin, which fell to 4-10-1 overall and 0-6-0 in conference play.
Playing in front of an announced Senior Day crowd of 222, Pfeiffer dominated possession from start to finish and capped the regular-season home schedule with its fifth shutout victory of the year.
