Women's Lacrosse Wins 19-3 Over Montreat in Season Opener

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (Feb. 11, 2026) — Skyla Jo Charette and Analise Robinson scored five goals each as Pfeiffer rolled past Montreat 19-3 in its season opener Wednesday at Pulliam Stadium.

Pfeiffer (1-0) controlled the game from the opening draw, racing out to a 6–0 lead in the first quarter and extending it to 13-1 by halftime. Charette finished with five goals, two assists and six shots on goal, while Robinson added five goals, six draw controls and nine shots on goal to power an offense that outshot the Cavaliers 53-6 and put 41 shots on frame.

With the five goals, Robinson passes former player Molly O'Friel (179) for second on the program's career goals scoring list and now stands at 180 goals for her career.  She stands just 10 goals away from tying former Falcon player and current High Point University head coach Lydsey Boswell's program record.

Freshman Quinn Branca added four goals—including the game's first, and her first career tally at 13:56 of the opening quarter—and collected a team-high eight ground balls. Cerys Reid scored twice and assisted once, while Heather Gallimore and Keiri Velasquez each tallied once. In total, eight different Falcons found the back of the net.

Pfeiffer's defense was equally dominant, forcing 24 Montreat turnovers and holding the Cavaliers to just five shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Clara Smith earned her frist collegiate win by making two saves while allowing just three goals over 60 minutes.

Montreat (0-1) got two goals from Marley Smith and one from Grace Wiegand, but the Cavaliers' offense struggled to sustain possession and clear the ball consistently, finishing just 6-for-21 on clears.

Pfeiffer closed the game with five goals in the fourth quarter, highlighted by Charette's fifth score and a player-up finish from Rylee Honeycutt with one second remaining.

Pfeiffer will open their home schedule this upcoming Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against Guilford College at Lefko-Mills Field.
