MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 28, 2026) — Pfeiffer University remained undefeated Saturday, rolling past Maryville 7–0 in a nonconference women's tennis match at the MC Tennis Courts.
The Falcons (8–0) opened the day by sweeping all three doubles courts.
Fanny Apostolou and
Haley Ingenito claimed the top-line win, 6–4, while
Sydney Cohen and
Riley Isley secured a 6–3 victory at
No. 2.
Kristen Colie and
Gracie Spangler completed the sweep with a 6–2 decision at No. 3.
Pfeiffer carried its momentum into singles play, winning all six matches. Ingenito delivered a straight-sets victory at No. 1, defeating Maryville's Mckena Spencer 7–5, 6–2. Apostolou followed with an identical scoreline at No. 2 over Calliana Kondolios.
Cohen battled through the day's only three-setter, topping Jasmine Muecke 6–2, 2–6, 6–3 at No. 3. Spangler clinched a tight second-set tiebreak to win 6–1, 7–6 at No. 4, while Isley cruised to a 6–3, 6–0 victory on Court 5.
Claire Germain closed out the sweep with a 6–4, 6–4 win at No. 6.
Pfeiffer sealed the match by taking both the doubles point and every singles court, marking its eighth straight win to open the season. Maryville dropped to 2–3.
