VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (March 18, 2026) — Pfeiffer University's women's golf team rode a steady two-day effort to a third-place team finish at the VWU Marlins Invitational, held March 16–17 at Cypress Point Country Club.
The Falcons posted rounds of 334–342 for a 676 total (+100), securing their spot behind champion Southern Virginia (645) and host Virginia Wesleyan (662).
Pfeiffer was led by
Kirstyn Page, who delivered one of the tournament's most consistent performances. Page fired 77–78 for a 155 (+11), earning her third place individually. She finished just six shots off medalist Sydney Richards of Southern Virginia and two behind runner-up Juliette Coffey of Virginia Wesleyan.
Sophomore
Morgan Heilig added a top-20 showing, tying for 17th after carding 82–90 for a 172 (+28). Fellow Falcon
Ella Couper followed closely, finishing 19th with rounds of 84–89 for a 173 (+29).
Rounding out Pfeiffer's scoring lineup,
Ashlyn Strickland posted a strong final round en route to a T-29 finish at 182 (+38), while
Jordan Blake battled through the field to place 42nd with a 194 (+50).
The event featured a nine-team field, but Pfeiffer's depth allowed the Falcons to stay firmly in contention throughout the tournament. Page's podium finish and three players inside the top 20 highlighted a promising performance as they continue their spring campaign.
The Falcons will return to play on April 10-12 when they travel to take part in the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate at the Scarlet Course at Paradise Point at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C.
