MISENHEIMER, N.C. (March 25, 2026) — Pfeiffer rolled to a dominant 7-0 nonconference men's tennis victory over Johnson & Wales on Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center, sweeping all three doubles courts and taking all six singles matches.
The Falcons (11–2) quickly secured the doubles point behind decisive wins across the lineup.
Jayden Wellman and
Valter Albuquerque opened with a 6–2 victory on Court 1, while
Aden Burgoyne and
Hugo Kezen matched them with a 6–3 win at No. 2.
Aissultan Mukhambetov and
Bogdan Stan completed the sweep with a 6–1 triumph at No. 3.
Pfeiffer carried that momentum into singles play, winning the first six official singles courts. Albuquerque dominated at No. 1 with a 6–0, 6–1 performance, and Mukhambetov followed with a 6–1, 6–1 win on Court 2. Wellman (6–0, 6–1) and Stan (6–0, 6–1) continued the Falcons' control at the No. 3 and No. 4 lines.
Kezen posted a 6–1, 6–0 result at No. 5, and Burgoyne closed out Pfeiffer's singles sweep with a 6–3, 6–0 win at No. 6.
Johnson & Wales' lone win of the day came in an exhibition match, where Cayden Danzer outlasted Pfeiffer's
Micah Potter 8–5.
Pfeiffer will host Brevard on April 1 for a 3:00 p.m. USA South match.
