MISENHEIMER, N.C. — Pfeiffer swept every court on Senior Day, rolling past Meredith 7–0 in a USA South women's tennis match on a warm Thursday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.
The Falcons (11-2,1-0 USA South) controlled the doubles point with three decisive wins.
Fanny Apostolou and
Haley Ingenito earned a 6–1 victory on Court 1, while
Sydney Cohen and
Riley Isley posted a 6–0 win at No. 2.
Kristen Colie and
Brianna Lail completed the sweep with a 6–0 decision on Court 3.
Singles play proved equally dominant for Pfeiffer, which won all six official matches in straight sets. Ingenito cruised to a 6–0, 6–0 win at No. 1 singles, and Apostolou delivered an identical 6–0, 6–0 result on Court 2. Cohen added a 6–0, 6–0 victory of her own at No. 3.
Isley pulled out the most competitive match of the day, defeating Meredith's Molly Zuburg 6–2, 7–5 at No. 4.
Gracie Spangler won 6–1, 6–0 at No. 5, and
Kristen Colie closed out the sweep with a 6–0, 6–0 win at No. 6.
