Bolton Gets 100th Career Win in Pfeiffer's 12-3 Rout of Roanoke

MISENHEIMER, N.C. (April 8, 2026)) — Pfeiffer scored in six different innings and received a steady pitching performance to pull away from Roanoke College for a 12–3 nonconference baseball victory Wednesday afternoon at Joe Ferebee Field to give head coach Craig Bolton his 100th career win.

The Falcons (16-13) opened the scoring in the first inning and quickly took control with a five-run second and a three-run third to build a commanding early cushion. Pfeiffer finished with 15 hits and 10 RBIs, while holding Roanoke to three runs in the fifth inning and blanking the Maroons the rest of the way.

Christian Bellantoni went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored to pace the Pfeiffer offense, while Josh Jones added a two-run day that included a solo home run. Ethan Willard reached base three times, going 3 for 4 with three runs scored, and Ben Mecimore chipped in a pair of hits and three runs.

Joe Javier drove in two runs with a double, while Jack Brandle and Levi Barrett each contributed an RBI as Pfeiffer consistently extended innings with timely hitting. The Falcons doubled four times and stole a base in the win.

On the mound, Tripp Beck earned the victory after striking out five while allowing three hits over three scoreless innings. Pfeiffer's bullpen combined to limit Roanoke to three runs on seven hits over the final six innings, striking out four and inducing three double plays behind a clean defensive effort.

Roanoke (17-12) scored all three of its runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by an RBI double from Michael Hetzel and a two-run single from Tyler Galloway. The Maroons finished with 10 hits but left seven runners on base.

Pfeiffer will jump back into USA South play with a three-game series at N.C. Wesleyan this upcoming weekend.  Game one of the series is slated for a 6:00 p.m. start on Friday, April 10 at Bauer Field in Rocky Mount, N.C.
