MISENHEIMER, N.C. (April, 8, 2026) — Methodist University swept all three doubles matches and won five of six singles points to defeat Pfeiffer 6-1 in a USA South Conference women's tennis match Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.
The Monarchs (11-2, 2-1 USA South) claimed the doubles point behind wins on all three courts, then closed out the match in singles by taking the first four completed flights.
Emma Hulicki set the tone at No. 1 singles, earning a 6-3, 7-6 win over Pfeiffer's
Haley Ingenito, while Shea Bieniek, Helen Hofmann and Caitlin Tihanovich each posted straight-set victories to secure the team decision.
Pfeiffer (12-3, 2-1) avoided the shutout at No. 5 singles, where
Riley Isley delivered the Falcons' lone point with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Katie Sechrist. Addison Haden clinched Methodist's final singles point with a tight 7-6, 6-4 win against
Claire Germain at No. 6.
Pfeiffer will hit the road for a Friday afternoon match on April 10 in Rocky Mount, N.C. against N.C. Wesleyan.
