Tucker Nelson enters his sixth season as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in the 2025-26 academic year.
2025
Led the Falcons to their third-consecutive USA South regular season and tournament title. The 2025 squad set the Pfeiffer program record in points (610), goals (365), assists (245) and had 790 ground balls, which is second on the all-time program list.
Pfeiffer completed the USA South season undefeated with an 8-0 record, finishing the season at 15-4 overall and advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive season.
2024
Won the USA South for the second consecutive season, going a perfect 8-0 in league play. Finished the season 12-7 overall. Played the first game on the new Lefko-Mills Field artificial turf against Calvin College (L, 7-9). The first win on the new surface came on a rainy Wednesday morning, when they defeated Hiram College 23-7.
Advanced to the NCAA Tournament, winning the first round game in thrilling fashion 13-12 in Danville, Kentucky on May 8 against Centre College, earning the first NCAA tournament win in program history.
2023Â
In 2023, Nelson led the Pfeiffer lacrosse program to the most successful season in school history, setting the program record for wins in a season (17), longest win streak (12) and the second USA South title under his direction.
Nelson earned USA South Coach of the Year honors while guiding nine players to  All-USA South awards. Pfeiffer also had  a pair of players earn USILA All American awards (Kendall Jones, Jaylin Jones). Pfeiffer's Tucker Hill also was named MVP of the North-South All-Star Game.
In 2022, Nelson led Pfeiffer to a second-consecutive appearance in the USA South title game while coaching Tucker Hill to the USA South Defensive Player of the Year honors. Hill was the NCAA Statistical Champion in faceoff win percentage.
Nelson took over the Falcon program in 2021, where he guided the Falcons to the USA South Championship and the program's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament. That season, he coached his brother Jared, who set the NCAA All-Division points record while earning Third Team All-America honors.
Prior to Pfeiffer: While at Binghamton, Nelson had a stellar playing career at both Binghamton University and Marist College as well as participating as a member of the Ohio Machine of the MLL (Major League Lacrosse). Nelson was named the university’s Male Athlete of the Year and was one of only 70 NCAA DI players named to the Tewaaraton Watch List. He was selected to the USILA North/South All-Star Game and was recognized as the team’s most valuable player in 2015. In only 3 seasons at Binghamton, Nelson set program records in career assists, points per game, assists in a season, assists in a game, and assists per game (career & season.). Prior to his arrival at Binghamton, Nelson spent one season at NCAA Division I Marist College.
Nelson is a graduate of Penfield High School in Rochester, NY where he was a 4-time letter winner, 3-time all-county selection and 2-time all-greater Rochester honoree. During his outstanding high school career, he amassed 197 points (88 goals, 109 assists) while setting the school record for points in a season and earning team MVP honors.
Personal: Nelson is the product of tremendous athletic pedigree. Tucker’s mother Lynne Nelson was a standout soccer player for Nazareth College and is a member of its Athletic Hall of Fame. His father, Scott, built Nazareth College’s men’s lacrosse program into a national powerhouse en route to winning three NCAA DIII national championships. He then enjoyed successful stints at Brown University and Marist College before arriving at Pfeiffer.
Nelson has two younger brothers, Jared and Jake, who was a member of the 2021 NCAA Division II Championship team at LeMoyne. Jared is the NCAA's career record holder in career points and career assists. He graduated with a degree in history from Binghamton in 2015.
He married the former Brittany Nance in October, 2022 and with their dogs Charlie and Murphy. The Nelson's added a son, Ryder, to the Pfeiffer family in October 2024.
