Micah Potter

Micah Potter joined the Pfeiffer University tennis staff as an assistant coach in August 2026 after a four-year playing career with the Falcons and several years of coaching experience in both private and group instruction settings.

A four-year member of the Pfeiffer men's tennis program, Potter served as team captain and was a key leader on and off the court, helping cultivate a competitive, accountable, and positive team culture.

A graduate of Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a minor in English, Potter brings a strong understanding of student-athlete development and leadership to the coaching profession. During his playing career, he worked closely with coaches to mentor younger teammates and promote personal growth, teamwork, and competitive excellence.

Potter has accumulated extensive coaching experience through his work as a tennis professional at SportsCenter Athletic Club and as a tennis instructor with Tennisbloc LLC. In those roles, he has taught private and group lessons for players of all ages and skill levels, developing training plans focused on stroke production, footwork, strategy, match play, and overall player development. He has also assisted with clinics, camps, and competitive development programs while fostering positive relationships with athletes and their families.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical improvement, mental toughness, sportsmanship, and character development. Potter's background as both a collegiate captain and experienced instructor allows him to connect with student-athletes while helping them reach their potential both on the court and in the classroom.

Postter is a product of Jacksonville, North Carolina. His sister Hannah, is also a Pfeiffer graduate and spent three season as a member of the Pfeiffer women's soccer program.
