MISENHEIMER, NC- The Pfeiffer men's soccer team (16-2) exploded for six goals in the first period of play to advance to the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas tournament with a 7-1 victory over Barton (5-11) on Monday night. Nathan Regis scored three goals in the first 32 minutes of play, and the Falcons scored six times on just 14 shots in the opening 45 minutes of play. Regis finished the night with three goals, one assist, and Santi Moar posted two goals and three helpers to lead the Falcons.

"I thought our guys came out and played really, really well tonight," Said head coach Bob Reasso. "I am proud of the guys, now it is time to recuperate for the next couple days, and get ready for the next match."

Regis started the scoring barrage rebounding a Jaime Siaj shot to find the back of the net for his 17th strike of the season. The Falcons struck again just over 12 minutes into the match when Alex Stoiljkovic found Moar who looped a shot over the Bulldog keeper putting the Falcons up two scores. Moar struck again 11 minutes later taking a pass from Regis and scissor kicking it just inside the left post.

Regis struck again at 27 minute mark, and just under a minute later Jorge Buzzo extended the lead to 5-0 finding the back of the net for the first time this season. Regis finished off the hat trick at the 32 minute mark scoring on a penalty kick beating the keeper to the left side of the net.

The Falcons held Barton to just four shots in the first half.

Roberto Soares scored his 11th goal of the season six minutes into the second half taking a through ball from Moar and scoring into an open net pushing the Falcons lead to 7-1.

Pfeiffer's offense continues its domination recording five or more goals for the 10th times this season, and their sixth time in the last seven matches.

The Falcons move onto to play the fifth seeded Lees-McRae Bobcats on Thursday, November 3. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
