MISENHEIMER, N.C. - The Pfeiffer women's lacrosse team (3-7, 3-1 CC) wrapped up an eight game home stand with a dominating 17-5 victory over Emmanuel (5-6, 0-5) on Thursday afternoon. Gracie Herbert led the Falcons with four goals, while Whitney Jaffe notched eight points (3g, 5a).
The trio of Kylie Lode, Molly O'Friel and Cheyenne Green all added two goals and Ally Unkenholz tallied a hat trick on the day as Pfeiffer cruised to victory. Cassidy Wilson made six saves in goal to earn her third win of the year.
Pfeiffer wasted little time grabbing the upper hand as the Falcons scored the first four goals of the contest. After an Emmanuel strike, the Falcons put seven straight goals on the board to go into the half with an 11-1 lead.
In the second half, Emmanuel was able to cut the lead to nine at 13-4 but Pfeiffer quickly pushed the lead back to double digits and never looked back.
Pfeiffer held a 27-15 advantage in shots and went 3-for-5 on free position opportunities. The Falcons grabbed 13 draw controls, compared to nine for the Lions.
Pfeiffer hits the road for the first time since February 23 as they travel to Belmont Abbey for a Conference Carolinas battle with the Crusaders. Opening draw is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
