Pfeiffer Women's Lacrosse Falls in OT
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 12, 2025) – Visiting William Peace University came back from a 7-2 deficit to down Pfeiffer University in overtime 9-8 in a USA South women's lacrosse game at an overcast and chilly Lefko-Mills Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer led 7–2 at halftime but was outscored 7–1 the rest of the way. Mary Langer led William Peace with four goals, including the OT game-winner.
Skyla Jo Charette paced Pfeiffer with three goals and an assist. Despite strong offensive pressure and a solid start, Pfeiffer couldn't hold off the Pacers' second-half comeback.

Dakota Dominick tallied six saves in the setback. Pfeiffer forced 27 WPU turnovers and outshot the Pacers 30-21, but gave up six second half goals while only scoring one, forcing the game to be settled in overtime.
The overtime game was the first for Pfeiffer since 2017, when the Falcons dropped a 12-11 overtime game at Catawba.
