Box Score Huntingdon Deals Pfeiffer an 87-73 Men's Basketball Setback
Montgomery, Ala. (Feb. 16, 2020). – Despite leading at halftime, the Pfeiffer University men's basketball team fell to Huntingdon College 87-73 on Sunday afternoon in Montgomery, Ala.
The Hawks outscored the Falcons 50-34 in the second half and shot a blistering 66.7% from the field in the final stanza. Huntingdon built a 68-58 lead at the 9:51 mark after a pair of Damien Madison free throws and would not let the lead get to below eight points the rest of the way, eventually solidifying the 87-73 conference win.
Pfeiffer got 17 points and five rebounds from junior guard Craig Sabb (Goose Creek, S.C.). Sabb finished with a pair of three-pointers and was 7-of-13 from the field. Fellow junior Jamaal David (Clinton, Md.) had 12 points and three rebounds while forward Sean Scott (Waldorf, Md.) tallied 11 points. Freshman Regin Larson (Charlotte, N.C.) continued his good late season play with eight points, including two three-pointers.
Huntingdon's Damien Madison scored a game-high 24 points in the win, improving the Hawks to 11-12 overall and 8-8 in USA South games.
Pfeiffer falls to 11-13 overall and 6-10 in league play with the loss.
The Falcons will conclude their 2019-20 season this upcoming Wednesday night in a 7:00 p.m. game against William Peace University in Merner Gym.
