How It Happened
Pfeiffer senior Kyle Kamm (Sneads Ferry, N.C.) put the Falcons ahead with an unassisted goal just before halftime. The goal marks his second marker in the past two matches.
MBU was able to draw even at 54:19 from Dominic Fleming off an MBU corner kick. The Squirrels would then take the 2-1 lead at 65:47 when Ian Tripplet took a pass from Brandon John and slotted it past Falcon goalkeeper Johvany Herrera (Concord, N.C.).
Pfeiffer's Sam Stewart (Belhaven, N.C.) scored his second goal of the season at 77:33 after he took a pass from Branson Adams (Asheboro, N.C.) and hit a one-timers from just outside the box to tie the game at 2-2, a score that would last throughout two overtime periods.
