Brevard Volleyball Trips Up Pfeiffer, 3-2

Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 12, 2022) – Visiting Brevard College edged out a 3-2 USA South volleyball win over Pfeiffer on Wednesday night at Merner Gym in Misenheimer, N.C.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Pfeiffer senior Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) led the Pfeiffer attack by registering 13 kills followed by freshman Madison Tate (Lexington, N.C.), as she had 11.  Senior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) also had nine kills for the Falcons.

Brevard was led by Ashley Hoxit, as she finished with 19 kills.

Defensively, Burris had six total blocks while freshman libero Gabby Edwards (Catawba, N.C.) finished with a team-best 31 digs.  Junior Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) had 18 digs and Kylie Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) had eight.

The Falcons will head to Rocky Mount, N.C. to take part in a USA South tri-match hosted by N.C. Wesleyan University.  Pfeiffer will take on the host Bishops on Friday, Oct. 14 at 3:00 p.m. and will follow that with a 5:00 p.m. matchup against rival Greensboro.
