Pfeiffer Volleyball Splits a Pair of Home USA South Matches
Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 22, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team hosted a USA South quad match on Saturday at Merner Gym, falling to league-leading Southern Virginia 3-0 and downing Mary Baldwin by an identical 3-0 score.

Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.) had three block assists and one solo block to lead Pfeiffer at the net.
Southern Virginia's Sydney Hopkin had a match-high 14 kills to lead the Knights.

In the final match of the day, Pfeiffer rolled over Mary Baldwin by a 3-0 final.
The Falcons racked up a .403 hitting percentage, the highest output of the season thus far. Freshman
Madison Tate (Lexington, N.C.) had six kills while Honeycutt managed five in the win.Â
Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) and
Mattie Hinson (Norwood, N.C.) both had four kills in the win.
Mayberry led Pfeiffer with 14 assists while Suttles had 12 against the Squirrels.
As a team, Pfeiffer had 11 total blocks with Burris and Tate each recording three block assists. Burris also had one solo block in the match.
