Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Wins 8-1 Over Randolph
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 20, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team won two doubles matches and three of the four contested singles matches in an 8-1 nonconference win over Randolph College on Sunday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer won both contested doubles matches, with
Dylan Masters (Mooresville, N.C.) and
Benedikt Pfeiffer (Schliersee, Germany) earning an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.Â
Aleix Garrido (Catalunya, Spain) and Andres Valdez-Arce (Bogota, Bolivia) won their match at No. 2 doubles handily, by and 8-0 final.
Randolph forfeited the match at No. 3.
In singles matches, Pfeiffer won at No.1, No.3 and No. 4. Pfeiffer won his match at No. 1 over Nico Alvarado by a 6-4, 7-5 score while Valdez-Arce captured a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3.Â
Phillip Conaway (Sharpsburg, Ga.) took the No. 4 match, also by a 6-2, 6-0 score.
Randolph would forfeit the singles matches at No. 5 and No. 6.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will take to the road for the first time this spring on Friday, Feb. 25 when they travel to Hampden-Sydney for a 1:00 p.m. match.
