Fast Start Lifts Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Over Marietta, 18-8
Misenheimer N.C. (March 11, 2022) – Pfeiffer University scored six goals in the first 4:29 of the game and never looked back in a convincing 18-8 win over visiting Marietta College at Lefko Field on Friday afternoon

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons blitzed the visiting Pioneers from the start, jumping out to a 6-0 lead. Freshman
Nick Pekins started the game with an unassisted goal at 13:36, his seventh of the season.
Quinn Becraft scored a man-up goal at 13:13 to make it 2-0. Â Faceoff specialist
Tucker Hill made it 3-0 after winning the faceoff and racing untouched through the Pioneer defense to score his fifth of the season. Becraft added another goal at 12:08 followed by a score from freshman
Tyler Ajemian at 10:58.Â
Caleb Connell made it 6-0 at 10:41 after getting a pass from Becraft.
A pair of Connor Ficke goals from Marietta cut the Pfeiffer lead to 6-2, but the Falcons scored five more unanswered goals to take the commanding 11-2 lead.
After leading 12-4 at halftime, Pfeiffer got additional goals from Becraft and
Aiden Keenan in the third to push the lead to 13-6. Marietta got two more goals in the third quarter to pull to 14-8, but four more goals by the Falcons in the fourth quarter provided the 18-8 final. Â

Becraft led the way with five goals and an assist on the afternoon while Ajemian had four goals.Â
Tucker Hill went 10 ground balls to lead Pfeiffer, as he went 20-of-26 on faceoffs.

Jason Rowland made a pair of saves for the Falcons while seeing action in front of the cage in the fourth quarter.
