Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Takes Down Regionally Ranked N.C. Wesleyan
Rocky Mount, N.C. (March 27, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team earned a 6-3 win over regionally-ranked (No. 15) N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Rocky Mount, N.C.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer took two of the four contested singles matches and added a win in doubles competition to take the USA South match by a 6-3 score.
Senior
Darby Sherrill (Hiddenite, N.C.) won her match at No. 2 singles by a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 score over Isabella Gastelumend while freshman
Alison Sloop (Rockwell, N.C.) captured a 6-3, 6-3 win in straight sets at No. 4. Pfeiffer won the No. 5 and No. 6 matches via forfeit.
In doubles play, Sloop and
Megan Rekieta (Lubbock, Texas) took an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles. Pfeiffer also won the No. 3 match by forfeit.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will host Methodist in a USA South match on March 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Knapp Tennis Center.
