Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Earns 5-4 Win Over Lake Forest College

Hilton Head, S.C. (March 8, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team knocked off Lake Forest College in a close 5-4 match on Tuesday afternoon at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C.

RECORDS
Lake Forest – 4-4
Pfeiffer – 5-3

THE BASICS
After taking two of the three doubles points, Pfeiffer claimed three singles points to secure the 5-4 win.  The Falcons claimed singles wins at Nos. 2, 3 and 4, with Aleix Garrido securing the team win with a 6-4, 6-2 win over LFC's Jacob Tilton at No. 4.

Dylan Masters won his match at No. 2 by a 6-3, 6-2 score and Alex Taylor won his match at No. 3 over Zac Cho by a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0 score.

In doubles play, Masters and teammate Benedikt Pfeiffer won the No. 1 match 8-4 while Garrido and Andres Valdez-Arze won at No. 2 by an 8-3 score.

BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will next play Roanoke College on Thursday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the Chaplin Park Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C.
