How it Happened – Game 1
Pfeiffer got a masterful pitching performance from junior Ashlynn Kennedy, as she hurled a complete-game shutout of the Pride. She scattered five hits and struck out five Greensboro batters in the win.
Senior
Caiti Mickles provided all the offense Pfeiffer would need when she hit her third round-tripper of the season, a two-run shot in the second inning.
Game 2
In game two, Pfeiffer found the offense. The Falcons struck first in the first inning on an RBI single from Mickles, putting Pfeiffer up 1-0.
The lead would balloon to 7-0 in the second inning, thanks to an RBI single from Kennedy followed by a RBI double from freshman
Gracie Griffin. Mickles then delivered another RBI single to make it 5-0.
Freshman catcher
Emma Chopko then had a two-RBI single to center field that pushed the Falcon lead to 7-0.
In the third, Pfeiffer plated five more runs to run the lead to 12-0. A
Kyndell Warren sacrifice fly would score
Adison Campbell from third followed by and RBI single from
Mattie Hinson. Chopko would then clear the bases with a three-RBI double to cap the Falcon scoring.
Greensboro was able to avoid the shutout in the fifth, getting an RBI single from Kailey Walker, which provided the 12-1 final.
Caiti Mickles was credited with the win for the Falcons, as she pitched three innings without allowing a hit, evening her record to 4-4 on the season.

Pfeiffer will take to the road for a pair of USA South games on Tuesday, April 12 when they travel to Averett. First pitch of the scheduled doubleheader is set for 2:00 p.m.
