No. 8 Wake Forest Downs Pfeiffer Men's Tennis, 7-0
Winston-Salem, N.C. (April 15, 2022) – Eighth-ranked Wake Forest took a 7-0 men's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon at the Wake Forest Tennis Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.

THE BASICS
Ranked eighth in the nation, the Division I Demon Deacons took all six singles matches and earned the doubles point by winning the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches.
At No. 1 singles, Pfeiffer's
Benedikt Pfeiffer fell to WFU's Jakob Schnaitter 6-1, 6-1 while teammate
Dylan Masters was competitive in his match at No. 2, but fell to Taha Baadi by a 6-2, 6-3 score. At No. 5 singles,
Aleix Garrido fought hard in a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Matthew Thomson.Â
Alec Taylor fell in the No. 3 match by a 6-0, 6-1 score while Wake Forest swept the No. 4 and No. 6 matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will close out USA South regular season play on Tuesday, April 19 with a road match in Raleigh, N.C. against William Peace. Match time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
