Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Stumbles in 9-3 Loss at Piedmont
Demorest, Ga. (April 25, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team struggled offensively and committed 27 turnovers in falling to Piedmont, 9-3 in Demorest, Ga.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Piedmont went ahead early by scoring a pair of first quarter goals at 13:32 and 12:21. Pfeiffer's
Jacob Leone scored his eighth goal of the season on an assist from freshman
Aiden Keenan at 8:20 to close the gap to 2-1.
Another Piedmont goal at 5:45 extended the lead to 3-1, but Pfeiffer's
Treven King scored with 1:48 left in the quarter to trim the lead to 3-2.
In the second quarter, Piedmont scored the only goal of the period at 7:22, taking a 4-2 lead into halftime.

Nick Pekins opened the third quarter scoring at 8:10 with an unassisted goal to make it 4-3. Piedmont closed the third quarter with a score at 6:11 to go up 5-3. The Lions then took control in the fourth quarter, holding the Falcons scoreless while scoring four times to provide the 9-3 final.
