Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Winning Streak Snapped at SVU
Buena Viasta, Va. (April 2, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team had their 12-game USA South regular season winning streak snapped in a 17-8 loss at Southern Virginia on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After starting the game with three straight goals from sophomore
Quinn Becraft, Southern Virginia outscored Pfeiffer 8-2 the rest of thetfirst half to take the 8-5 lead at halftime.
The Knights then used four goals to open the third quarter to build the lead to 12-5 before an man-up goal from
Colin Thornton closed to 12-6. Three more SVU goals to end the third quarter put the Knights up 15-6.
Pfeiffer's
Treven King  got a man-up goal from to start to fourth quarter to make it 15-7, but SVU scored two more in the fourth, sandwiched around another Becraft score to provide the 17-8 final, sending Pfeiffer to its first USA South regular season defeat in nearly two seasons.
Inside the Box Score
Quinn Becraft scored a team-best five goals and had an assist in the loss while
Treven King had a pair of goals and an assist.
Faceoff specialist
Tucker Hill went 21-of-29 on faceoffs while coming away with 12 ground balls.
