Pfeiffer Tennis Wins 9-0 Over Mary Baldwin

Misenheimer, N.C. (April 5, 2022) – Pfeiffer University swept visiting Mary Baldwin University in a USA South men's tennis match at the Knapp Tennis Center on Sunday, April 3.

THE BASICS
As a team, Pfeiffer only surrendered one game on the day through all contested doubles and singles matches.

In doubles, Aleix Garrido and Andrews Valdez-Arze dispatched their No. 1 opponents by an 8-0 score, as did Phillip Conaway and Alec Taylor at the No. 2 match.  The No. 3 match was won by Pfeiffer by default.

In singles play, senior Benedikt Pfeiffer swept his match at No. 1 by a 6-0, 6-0 score.  At No. 2, Dylan Masters won 6-0, 6-1 over Austin Garza.

In the other matches, Taylor and Conaway won at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

The No. 5 and No. 6 singles matches were Pfeiffer wins by default.
