Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Drops 3-2 Decision at Carolina U
Bermuda Run, N.C. (Sept. 21, 2022) – Homestanding Carolina University used three first half goals and held on to a 3-2 win over Pfeiffer University in a nonconference women's soccer match at the Truist Soccer Complex in Bermuda Run, N.C.

The host Bruins wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, as they netted the first goal of the match just over six minutes in when Natasha Mariam provided the 1-0 lead. At 30:01, Aaliyah Rubino would make it 2-0 and followed by a Avilene Arellano Ordaz strike at 38:42 to push the lead to 3-0.
Pfeiffer benefitted from an own goal at 53:00 that drew the score to 3-1.
Falcon freshman
Ana Satchell (Conifer, Colo.) netted her first collegiate goal at 56:48 to close to 3-2, but Pfeiffer would get no closer the rest of the way to drop their season record to 1-4-1 while Carolina U impoves to 5-3.

With nonconference play completed, Pfeiffer will shift their focus to league matches when they open USA South play on the road this upcoming Saturday, Sept. 24 with a 3:00 p.m. road match at Mary Baldwin.
