MBU Deals Pfeiffer Women a 2-0 Defeat
Staunton, Va. – Mary Baldwin University scored a pair of second half goals to take a USA South win over Pfeiffer University in a league women's soccer match.

After a scoreless first half, MBU struck quickly in the opening minute of the second half when Sara Gruntowicz scored at 45:20 to put the Squirrels up 1-0. At 50:01, another MBU goal came courtesy of Sam Manfre, providing the eventual 2-0 final.
MBU outshot Pfeiffer 21-2, with
Abbiana Madera (Kannapolis, N.C.) and
Jessica Vazquez (High Point, N.C.) providing the shots for Pfeiffer. Vazquez' shot was the lone on goal opportunity for Pfeiffer, with MBU goalkeeper Maddy Vinson making the save.
