Swannanoa, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2023) -- The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team conceded the first goal of the match but fought back to down Warren Wilson 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon Hank Steinbrechler Sports Complex.
The win improved Pfeiffer's record to 4-6-1 overall.
How it Happened
Warren Wilson started the scoring when Will Feehan scored in the 31st minute.
The Falcons evened the match on a goal from Cade Vanetten -- his third goal of the season -- in the 31st minute.
Pfeiffer then broke the 1-1 draw on Vanetten's 33rd-minute goal, his third of the season.
The Falcons took a 3-1 lead with a 73rd-minute goal from Diego Moran, his third goal of the season..
Pfeiffer extended its lead to 4-1 on Andrejes Valdes' first goal of the season in the 77th minute, assisted by Fleming James.
The Falcons' advantage increased to 5-1 thanks to an 81st-minute goal from Valdes, his first goal of the season. The 5-1 held to the end of the game.
