Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 17, 2023) --The Pfeiffer University volleyball team fell to the Greensboro College Pride in three sets (14-25, 19-25, 17-25) Tuesday at home at Merner Gym.
The loss dropped Pfeiffer's record to 7-13 overall and 2-11 in USA South action. Greensboro improved to 13-9 and 9-3 in league play.
Abigail Lewis finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Falcons attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .368. got eight digs from Karmen Rion to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-14. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as 11 points as Greensboro grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was notted up just once before the Pride took control.
SET 2 | A 25-19 set-two loss put Pfeiffer in a 2-0 deficit in the match. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as six points as Greensboro grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was knotted up 10 times before the Pride took over the lead.
SET 3 | Pfeiffer couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Falcons lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-17.
