Women's Tennis Falls at Methodist
Fayetteville, N.C. (March 21, 2023)– The host Methodist University Monarchs swept all three doubles matches and won all six singles matches in straight sets to deal the Pfeiffer University women's tennis team their first defeat of the season, winning 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Fayetteville, N.C.

THE BASICS
In doubles play, the Monarchs were able to win the No. 1 match over
Megan Rekieta and
Alison Sloop by an 8-2 score. The No. 2 team of
Elithe Hudson and
Riley Isley dropped their match 8-4 while at No. 3,
Delaney Geygan and
Emily Moore dropped the 8-0 decision.
In singles play, Methodist won all six matches in straight sets, with Cailin Cifra downing Pfeiffer's
Elithe Hudson 6-0, 6-3 in the No 2 singles match to clinch the win.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will travel for their next USA South match on Saturday April 1 when they head to Winston-Salem, N.C. to take on Salem College at 2:00 p.m.
