Women's Tennis Takes 8-1 Win at Salem College
Winston-Salem, N.C. (April 1, 2023)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team traveled to Winston-Salem and came back with an 8-1 USA South win over Salem College on Saturday afternoon

Pfeiffer swept all three matches in doubles play to take an early 3-0 lead. T
In singles play,
Elithe Hudson (Albemarle, N.C.) made it 4-0 with a straight-sets, 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles. Pfeiffer would take the match with the fifth win of the day when
Megan Rekieta (Lubbock, Tex.) won her No. 1 match 6-0, 6-1.
Alison Sloop (Rockwell, N.C.) followed with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4 while
Riley Isley (China Grove, N.C.) Â gave the Falcons their seventh point with a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 3.
Freshman
Emily Moore (Denton, N.C.) made it eight points by winning her match at No. 6 singles, 4-6, 7-6, 10-2.
Salem's lone point of the afternoon came at No. 5 singles, as Ashley Lindon downed Pfeiffer's
Delaney Geygan (Monroe, N.C.) in a close 7-6, 7-5 match

Pfeiffer will return to the Knapp Tennis Center on Tuesday, April 4 at 2:00 p.m. for a USA South match against Brevard College.
