Pfeiffer Men's Golf Takes Fifth at Glenn Heath Memorial
Williamsburg, Va. (April 19, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University men's golf team rounded out the 2023 regular season with a fifth-place finish at the Glenn Heath Memorial hosted by The Apprentice School at the par-72, 6822-yard Williamsburg Country Club in Williamsburg, Va.
The Falcons shot a two-day total of 623 which placed them two strokes ahead of fellow USA South member N.C. Wesleyan. Pfeiffer also outpaced Southern Virginia by 22 strokes.
Individually, graduate student
Austin Morton (Jacksonville, Fla.) claimed a tie for sixth place after shooting a 149 (78-71) to finish at five-over for the event, leading the Falcon contingent.
Wesley Page (Gibsonville N.C.) and
Ezekiel Sigmon (Connolly Springs, N.C.) both finished with a 157 (+13) to claim a tie for 24
th place.
The Falcons will turn their focus on playing in the 2023 USA South Championship. The tournament is scheduled to tee off on Monday, April 24 at the Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, S.C.
