Southern Virginia Takes 8-1 Women's Tennis Win Over Pfeiffer

Misenheimer, N.C. (April 21, 2023) – Visiting Southern Virginia University dropped only one match en route to an 8-1 USA South women's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on a warm Thursday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

Pfeiffer – 13-5, 4-4 USA South

THE BASICS
The visiting Knights took all three doubles matches to take the early 3-0 lead.

SVU went up 5-0 after winning the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 matches, clinching the team win.

Pfeiffer's Alison Sloop claimed the only point for the Falcons at the No. 4 match, winning over SVU's Nadia Molanphy by a 6-4, 6-3 score.

SVU then won the matches at Nos. 5 and 6 to provide the 8-1 final.

BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will play in their final regular season match on Sunday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. against William Peace at the Knapp Tennis Center.
