Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Ties With WPU, 1-1

Cary, N.C. (Oct. 8, 2024) -- Pfeiffer University and William Peace played to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday night at the WakeMed Soccer Park.

The draw moved Pfeiffer's record to 3-4-3 overall and 0-2-1 in USA South action.

How it Happened

Pfeiffer jumped ahead 1-0 when sophomore Alex Michael scored his fifth goal of the season in the 30th minute on an assist by Mateo Lata.

The Pacers evened the match on a goal from Jorge Lemus in the 74th minute, assisted by Nathan Cochran.

Neither team was able to score in the remaining time, with the result being the 1-1 draw.

Game Notes

Pfeiffer goalkeeper Ali Jaafar totaled two saves for the Falcons while facing nine total Pacers shots.

Up Next
The Falcons will return to play on Saturday, Oct. 12 with a 5:00 p.m. kickoff at rival Greensboro College.
