Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Wins Over Maryville, 8-1

Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 24, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team won all three doubles matches en route to an 8-1 win over visiting Maryville College on a blustery Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

Pfeiffer – 3-0
Maryville – 1-2

THE BASICS
After taking all three doubles matches, Pfeiffer won five of the six singles matches in straight sets.

Riley Isley started the winning ways for Pfeiffer in singles play, as she dispatched her Maryville opponent by a 6-0, 6-1 score.  Cambree Gann did he part at No. 1 singles, clinching the team win of the Falcons after defeating Maryville's Katelyn Cook by a 6-2, 6-0 final.

Other Falcon winners on the afternoon included Megan Rekieta (No.2), Haley Ingenito (No. 5) and Kristen Colie (No. 6).

Pfeiffer will return to play on Feb. 27 at home against Agnes Scott College at 4:00 pm.
