Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Takes Nonconference Win Over Guilford
Misenheimer, N.C. (March 29, 2024)– The Pfeiffer men's tennis team secured a 5-4 nonconference win over visiting Guilford College on Friday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center

THE BASICS
The Falcons started the match with two wins in doubles play. The team of Dyland Masters and Andrews Valdez-Arze won their match at No. 2 by an 8-4 score. Teammates
Mateo Sonaglia and Jayden Wellmon also won 8-4 at their No. 3 match.
In singles play,
Benedikt Pfeiffer won at No. 1 following the retirement of his Guilford opponent, putting the Falcons up 3-1.
Sonaglist would give Pfeiffer the 4-1 lead after his 6-4, 6-2 win at No. six singles. Freshman
Jayden Wellman then clinched the match for the Falcons, winning at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2.
Guilford then took the matches at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 to provide the 5-4 final score.
The Next Match
The Falcons will return to USA South play on Monday, April 1 with a 3:00 p.m. home match against Brevard College.
