Ferrum Va. (Sept. 7, 2024) -- The Pfeiffer men's soccer team held Ferrum scoreless and ran away with a 4-0 shutout win on Saturday afternoon on the road at Penn-Roediger Field.
The win improved Pfeiffer's record to 1-1 overall.
How it Happened
Pfeiffer was gifted a goal in the early going of the match following a corner kick that was deflected into the Ferrum goal on a failed clear attempt, giving the Falcons the 1-0 lead
The Falcons would take the 2-0 lead on a goal from freshman Alec Paraiso. which was his first collegiate goal, coming in the 47th minute, assisted by Josh Aguirre-Escobar.
Pfeiffer would push the lead to 3-0 on a Jaiden Wright 50th-minute goal on an assist from Paraiso.
The Falcons would cap the scoring in the 68th minute, making it 4-0 when Diego Medel scored his first goal of the season on an assist from Mateo Lata.
