RALEIGH, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2025) — Meredith College scored early and never looked back, defeating Pfeiffer University 3-0 in a USA South Athletic Conference women's soccer match Saturday evening at the Meredith Track and Field Complex.
Meredith (2-8-3, 2-3-1 USA South) opened the scoring just 30 seconds into the match when Claire Wagner found the back of the net for her first goal of the season. The Avenging Angels added two more goals in the second half, including a team goal in the 49th minute and a strike from Francine Rast in the 69th minute.
Pfeiffer (1-8-1, 1-3-1 USA South) struggled to generate offense, managing only three shots, with one on goal. Midfielder
