Gudino and Watts Score in Pfeiffer's 2-1 Win Over Warren Wilson
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 21, 2025) — Pfeiffer University earned a 2–1 home victory over Warren Wilson College on Tuesday evening at Lefko-Mills Field, powered by a pair of second-half goals and a strong defensive showing.
After a scoreless first half, Pfeiffer (2-10-1) broke through in the 63rd minute when freshman
Abbie Gudino netted her first career goal off an assist from seniorÂ
Yailine Riera. Just 15 minutes later, sophomore
Jade Watts doubled the lead with a decisive strike in the 78th minute, assisted by freshman
Lily Bido. Watts score was also the first goal of her Falcon career.
Warren Wilson (1-8-2) responded in the 85th minute with a goal from Carolina Alcala-Ruiz, her second of the season on an assist from Eden Gfeller, but the Owls couldn't find the equalizer in the final minutes.
